Classic cars (oldtimers) over 30 years old will soon benefit from exemption
Vehicles over 30 years old will soon be allowed to enter the low-emission zone for free after registration. The rule is not in effect today.
Do you own a vehicle over 30 years old that is registered as a classic car (oldtimer)? Then your car will soon qualify for an exemption to the low-emission zone under certain conditions, if you register on time.
This exemption was approved by the Flemish government on 26/04/2024 but is only effective after publication in the Belgian Official Gazette. The decision has not yet been published. You cannot apply for this exemption yet.
The exemption is also valid in the low-emission zone in Antwerp, but not in Brussels.
